This is a Level One, Yoga Alliance Certified Program !
When: 3/31 & 4/1 from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Join one of the most professional and comprehensive Children’s Yoga Teacher Training programs available, and learn to teach a holistic class that uses all aspects of the yoga practice to meet children’s physical, emotional and social needs. Classes incorporate yoga and mindfulness activities that help children connect to themselves & their community, access the power of their breath, develop focus & concentration, find strength, balance and confidence through physical movement, recognize and regulate their own emotions, and learn how to nurture themselves through relaxation.

You will leave this training with a deeper understanding of child development, the capacity and confidence to create lesson plans that meet children’s needs, and the knowledge to teach in a safe, engaging and compassionate way. We will address the challenges of teaching in school environments, as well as practical information about how to set up new classes, get insurance, talk to schools about yoga, and more.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Do you have to be a yoga teacher to take the training?

Definitely not. This is a comprehensive training that is appropriate for anyone who is interested in helping children become the best versions of themselves. Each training session contains a diverse group of yoga teachers, classroom teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, counselors, parents and many more.

What if I haven’t been practicing yoga for that long?

You don’t have to be able to do crazy yoga poses for training, but general familiarity with the practice is important. The best thing to do is to just participate in classes at a local yoga studio before training, and if possible taking a beginners workshop is wonderful preparation.

Is LFY Yoga Alliance Certified?

Yes. The Level One training qualified for Continuing Education credit. Yoga Alliance children’s certification requires that you participate in three levels of training, complete some required reading and accompanying writing assignments, and participate in a mentorship program.
